Locked-In Studio Power: Peloton® Bike & Bike+ Genuine OEM Look Delta Cycling Pedals (Left & Right Pair)
Are your bike pedals creaking loudly during out-of-saddle climbs, feeling loose, or failing to snap securely into your shoe cleats? Has long-term training worn down the internal cartridge bearings, causing an uneven, rough pedaling rotation that disrupts your rhythm?
The high-energy cadence and high-wattage outputs of the connected studio ecosystem rely on a rock-solid mechanical connection. Delivering that seamless power transfer is the Genuine OEM Peloton® Indoor Cycling Pedal Pair (Part No. PLTN-PD-01 / PLTN-PD-02).
Sourced to original studio engineering specifications, this replacement set fits across the entire cycling lineup—including the Original Peloton Bike, Bike+ (Plust)", and all Cross Training packages. Built around a high-tensile, heat-treated chromoly steel axle spindle, these pedals are armed with an impact-resistant composite body and premium, double-sealed internal cartridge bearings that keep your stroke fluid, quiet, and stable through thousands of miles.
High-Impact Engineering Specifications
Please check your installation orientation carefully before threading—the left and right pedals feature opposing mechanical threads to keep them from spinning loose during workouts.
Look Delta Compatibility: Molded with a classic Look Delta retention clip profile, making it completely plug-and-play with your standard 3-bolt red Peloton shoe cleats.
Adjustable Retention Tension: Equipped with an adjustable rear allen-key tension bolt, allowing you to easily fine-tune how tightly the clip clamps onto your shoe for easier clipping in or out.
Standard $9/16$-Inch Steel Threading: Machined with universal standard $9/16$-inch connection threads to screw cleanly into your original factory aluminum crank arms.
Smooth-Glide Bearing Matrix: Packed with high-viscosity internal synthetic lubrication to isolate raw metal friction, completely eliminating squeaks and clicking sounds.
Signs Your Cycling Pedals Require Immediate Replacement
The Annoying "Rhythmic Click": Every downstroke with your left or right foot produces a distinct, high-pitched mechanical click or pop that you can feel vibrating up through your shoe—a definitive warning that the internal bearing race is cracked or pitted.
Sloppy, Loose Cleat Retention: Your shoe slips out or drifts side-to-side during high-resistance sprints, even after tightening the rear retention tension adjustment screw all the way down.
The "Dry-Grind" Resistance Drag: Spinning the pedal body by hand while unclipped feels grainy, rough, or stiff because the protective rubber bearing shields have breached, allowing sweat and dust to dry out the inner grease.
The 15-Minute Pro DIY Pedal Replacement Sequence
Swapping out your cycling pedals is a highly rewarding 15-minute mechanical upgrade requiring standard hand tools: a 15mm pedal wrench (or standard open-ended wrench) and some clean mechanical grease:
1.Complete Hardware Isolation:Park the Crank Arms and Identify Directions.Unplug your bike and position the crank arms so the side you are working on faces forward. The Most Important Concept: The right pedal (drive-belt side) features normal right-hand threads. The left pedal (non-drive side) is REVERSE-THREADED (left-hand threads) so it doesn't spin loose while you pedal.
2.Remove the Right-Side Drive Pedal:Unbolt the Right-Side Pedal.Fit your 15mm wrench onto the wrench flats of the Right Pedal spindle. Turn the wrench counter-clockwise (toward the back of the bike) to loosen and remove the pedal.
3.Unbolt the Left-Side Non-Drive Pedal:Execute Reverse-Thread Extraction.Move your 15mm wrench over to the Left Pedal spindle flats. Because this side is reverse-threaded, you must turn the wrench clockwise (toward the back of the bike) to loosen it. Back the spindle out completely.
4.Clear the Cockpit Access Lanes:Clean and Prep the Crank Arm Threads.Take a clean micro-fiber cloth and wipe out the internal threads inside both aluminum crank arms. Clear away old metallic flakes and dirt dust. Apply a thin layer of fresh mechanical grease directly into the clean threads to prevent future cross-threading and squeaks.
5.Anchor the New Command Core:Torque the Fresh Pedals Rigid.Locate the "R" and "L" stamps on your Brand-New OEM Peloton Pedals. Hand-thread the Right pedal into the right crank arm clockwise (toward the front of the bike). Hand-thread the Left pedal into the left crank arm counter-clockwise (toward the front of the bike). Once hand-tightened, lock them down firmly using your 15mm wrench!
Pro Tip: The Sweat-Squeak Cleat Check
If you install brand-new pedals and still hear an annoying squeaking noise when you pedal hard, the sound is likely not coming from the internal bearings at all! Over time, the hard plastic interface on the bottom of your cycling shoes rubs against the pedal body, causing plastic-on-plastic friction noise. To fix this instantly, spray a light film of dry silicone lubricant or rub a drop of dish soap directly across the engagement face of your red shoe cleats. This eliminates the frictional friction, giving you a completely silent ride!
Eliminate drivetrain clicking, secure your clipping alignment, and restore showroom performance.
