Whether you are racing on the Bike, running on the Tread, or floor-training with the Guide, these screens are not just passive monitors—they are fully integrated Android-based computers. They handle high-bandwidth video streaming, real-time Bluetooth/Wi-Fi data tracking, and complex metric calculations (like Output, Cadence, and Resistance) simultaneously.

Because Peloton utilizes different monitor architectures across its product line, identifying your exact screen generation is the key to successful troubleshooting or replacement.

The Peloton Screen Lineup: Know Your Display

Common Hardware Symptoms & Quick Diagnoses

1. The "Stuck on Peloton Logo" Boot Loop

• The Symptom: The monitor powers on, but the screen gets permanently stuck on the red or white Peloton startup screen.

• The Cause: This is typically a firmware corruption or an "under-voltage" issue. If the power supply brick isn't delivering exactly the required amperage, the internal processor lacks the juice to boot the Android operating system.

• The Fix: Try a hard cache clearance (holding Volume Up + Power Button during startup) or replace the power adapter.

2. "No Signal" or Console Connection Errors (Error T0104)

• The Symptom: The monitor lights up, but it cannot display your metrics (Speed, Cadence, or Resistance stays at "0").

• The Cause: The data link between the screen and the machine's base has been compromised. On the Tread and Bike+, this is almost always a loose or slightly backed-out USB-C cable.

• The Fix: Remove the rear plastic neck shroud or fabric tag, unplug the USB-C cable completely, inspect the pins, and push it back in until you hear a distinct, solid click.

3. Ghost Touches or Erratic Screen Jumps

• The Symptom: The screen behaves as if someone is tapping it—changing classes, pausing workouts, or opening menus on its own.

• The Cause: Static electricity buildup or sweat contamination. If a machine isn't properly grounded through its power cord, static can accumulate on the capacitive glass surface.

• The Fix: Clean the screen thoroughly with an approved electronic microfiber cloth. Ensure the power cord is plugged directly into a grounded wall outlet, not a cheap, ungrounded extension cord.

Care & Preventive Maintenance

The Sweat Shield Rule: Sweat contains salt, which is highly corrosive and highly conductive. Never spray glass cleaner or water directly onto the glass panel. Moisture can easily seep past the lower bezel and short out the delicate internal controller board. Always spray your electronics cleaner onto a microfiber cloth first, then wipe down the frame.

• Firmware Updates: Always allow the screen to complete its software updates. Powering down the machine mid-update can permanently brick the monitor's internal flash memory.

• Screen Pivot Care: On the Bike+, always pivot the monitor using the reinforced structural handle/neck area, rather than pulling on the corners of the plastic display casing. Pulling the screen edges places twisting stress on the internal LCD panel matrix.
