Given the Tread+’s unique slat-belt design and high-velocity motor, ensuring every bolt and fastener is torqued to factory specifications is critical for both user safety and machine longevity. This kit contains the specialized high-tensile hardware required to secure the uprights, handrails, and the heavy-duty touchscreen console to the frame.
The Tread+ (Original Series/Cross Training) requires specific metric fasteners that differ from the standard Tread model. Using generic hardware can lead to "monitor wobble" or dangerous vibrations during high-speed sprints. Our OEM-spec kit ensures a precision fit for all major connection points, featuring pre-applied thread-locking compound on critical bolts to prevent loosening over time from the intense rhythmic impact of slat-belt running.
What's Inside the Tread+ Hardware Kit
Upright & Handrail Bolts: High-strength M8 bolts designed to secure the side pillars to the base deck (typically requires an 8mm Allen wrench).
Touchscreen Mounting Screws: Precision-threaded fasteners to lock the 32" HD console into the mounting bracket without stripping.
Side Panel Fasteners: Specialized clips and screws to secure the fabric or plastic side shrouds and "pill" covers.
Accessory Tray Hardware: Small-gauge screws to firmly attach the water bottle and phone tray to the handrail assembly.
Base Stabilizer Screws: Heavy-duty bolts for the rear leveling feet and stabilizer bar.
Critical Maintenance Tip: Torque Matters
For the Tread+, Peloton recommends a high level of torque for the handrail and upright bolts to eliminate vibration. If you feel excess swaying during a run:
Remove the Upright Bolt Covers.
Use an 8mm Allen wrench (preferably an XL version for leverage).
Tighten the 4 handrail bolts and 8 base upright bolts to approximately 48 N-m (35 ft-lbs). The hardware in this kit is specifically rated for this high-pressure load.
